1. Terms.

1a. The terms "we", "us", "our" refer to the trading entity that we call WirOnIT. WirOnIT is a business partnership between David Weir and Tim Sutton.

1b. The term "New" in reference to components indicates those that are brand new and sealed and purchased from a manufacturer or vendor.

1c. The term "Used" in reference to components indicates those that are reclaimed, recycled or repurposed. All used items are tested by us for function and reliability before being used in repairs or upgrades.

2. Contracts and Charges.

2a. "Price match" - We promise to match any price quoted for a similar service with the following provisions: The price being matched must come from a company, registered in the UK, that offers the service; must be communicated in the public domain (in an advert, pricelist or otherwise communicated to the public by that company); must be a current offering; must be available equally to all members of the UK public (regardless of club membership, affiliation, etc.); and must not include any discounts.

2c. "Refer a friend" - Referring a friend is defined as promoting us to anyone who subsequently has services carried out by us. A discount of 10% per referral from the stated final price of each service (on top of any other discounts, but excluding parts) is applicable to any services carried out. This 10% referral discount is applied after all other applicable discounts are deducted. Additional 10% referral discounts are then applied consecutively to the resulting figure(s). There is no limit to the number of referrals that can be made, or to the resulting 10% discounts. However, repeat referrals will not be accepted and there can be only one named person to receive a 10% discount per referral.

2d. All other work is done on a quote-by-quote basis. Please contact us for more details.

3. Warranties and Repairs.

3a. 90 day warranty - All component upgrades, replacements and repairs that we carry out are covered by our own warranty for 90 days from completion. This includes both new and used (recycled) components. Where components carry an additional warranty offered by a manufacturer, their warranty supersedes ours and will be honoured by them. The 90 day warranty does not cover additional, unrelated faults or component failures subsequent to upgrade or repair.

3b. Customers will be given the choice of new and used components in repairs and upgrades. Used components will be clearly marked by us to differentiate them from brand new components.

3c. New and Used components that fail within our 90 day warranty period will be replaced free of charge by us except where they have been damaged or modified by the customer or a third party (in which case the warranty will be void). Any concurrent warranties from the manufacturer or previous vendor will still apply where they have not been voided. We reserve the right to replace failed used components with other used components of the same or higher specification, which will be covered by their own 90 day warranty. New components will be replaced under warranty by their manufacturer or vendor. We reserve the right to retain all failed components for refurbishment, repair or disposal as we deem fit.

3c. New components will be charged to the customer at cost price (including any tax and delivery charges).

3d. Should you decide that any work we carry out is not entirely to your satisfaction, you should notify us within 7 days. We will not be held liable for any data lost as a result of a component failure or software issue and strongly advise that a good scheduled backup policy be put in place to prevent such losses. Warrantues that we issue only apply to the first user (the customer who initially purchases the warranted item from WirOnIT) and are not transferrable.

3e. Customers should be aware that hardware repairs and upgrades carried out on a computer by us may void the original manufacturer's warranty. Always consult the original manufacturer if you are not sure.

4. Data Protection.

4a. We fully comply with the Data Protection Act of 1984. We reserve the right to request address and contact information from customers, which will not be duplicated, distributed or disclosed to third parties. Customer's electronic data held on magnetic, optical or any other media will not be duplicated for the use of, distributed to or disclosed to third parties. For the purposes of Data recovery, some controlled duplication may be necessary, all data then being safely erased upon completion of a data recovery task.

5. Payment options.

5a. We accept payments by cash, debit card, credit card and PayPal. There are no surcharges for any of these methods. Payments by cheque or any method not mentioned above will not be accepted. Invoices will be given for all transactions and will constitute a receipt on completion of payment.

6. Prices and information.

6a. We reserve the right to change our charges and prices at any time without notice. We also reserve the right to change our trading policies and the content on this website at any time without notice.

7. Copyright notice.
